As stated by the Herald, quoting a press release by John Ruffolo, we can be expecting "network traffic jams" - but Ruffolo continues to forecast heavy growth in the areas of:
eBooks for SmartPhones, PC's and tablets
internet tablets (like the iPad)
Micro payments for content (that's a good idea for marketers to take note of!)
heavy online sales, disrupting the advertising market
So it is not just my belief. Despite of expected traffic jams, increases in rates to battle over-heavy data usage and the infamously named iPad mobile technology and smartphone websites are not going anywhere soon!
