Following a brief stop to photograph the pride, we proceed in the un-marked route towards the river sneaking through overgrown thickets. Finally we reach the banks of the river and true to the Masai Mara safari getaway; here before our own sight is a flock of Elephant bulls, watering. On the other side of the river we sport a big herd of Buffalo's along with youngsters grazing candidly beneath the wooded acacia plants. Amongst them are numerous gazelles and a pair of giraffes. Our cameras roll persistently as we immerse in the moments.
Time goes by rapidly and in awhile we turn back to make a return voyage to our camp having experienced an intense initial adventure. Our guide heightens our expectations when he mentions that after dinner later that evening, our adventure continues with a late evening game drive. An evening game drive definitely is much more excellent since that is when you get to observe the predators attentive and in a hunting mode while a handful of the nocturnal beasts such as the hippo come out to graze notwithstanding the hazards of this African jungle.
